Homicide along the I-270? Man

05 February 2009, 10:10 am

A body was discovered at approximately four am this morning near Germantown.  A motorist informed the police of the body and they responded.  The I-270 ramp was then closed for investigation.  The ramp reopened at ten am but the investigation continues.

A spokesman for the Montgomery County Police stated that the investigation is a homicide investigation and the man had “suffered trauma”.

Two other bodies were recently found in the region.  One body was in St. Mary’s County.  The other body was found near the Twinbrook Parkway.  Both deaths were originally believed to be from exposure.  The St. Mary’s County body is no longer being investigated but Montgomery Police will try to more thoroughly determine whether crime or exposure was the issue in the Twinbrook death.
